The document provides a detailed overview of the processes related to the operation of the doctoral school, describes the steps involved in admission, the student administration process, and  guides users through the elements of the program, from course registration to obtaining a certificate of completion and graduation. The guide is updated annually, taking into account questions, comments, and issues that arise.

Training plan, curriculum and credit regulations

 The training and research at the Doctoral School – integrating multiple scientific fields – aims to understand the relationships between the structure and properties of materials and to develop new structural and functional materials. The activities of the Doctoral School cover polymers, metals, ceramics, composite systems, and micro- and nanostructured materials.

Details of the training are included in the Training Plan, and the credit values that can be earned for each activity are specified in Appendices 4 and 5 of the Doctoral School’s Operating Regulations.

Courses

 As part of the program, students must complete a minimum of eight courses (four core and four elective) and pass the corresponding exams.

Core courses: Four courses are mandatory and must be selected from the core offerings, which include General Materials Science, Materials Science Testing Methods, and Research Methodology.

The list of available subjects includes course descriptions, prerequisites, and recommended reading.
