Our Lecturers and Thesis Supervisors
The Doctoral School of Materials Science and Technology at Óbuda University participates in the Hungarian doctoral (PhD) program as a member of the domestic and international materials science and technology research network. The diversity of materials science knowledge, research topics, supervisors, and students requires a high degree of flexibility in the program. The University’s faculty and supervisors interested in materials science research are complemented by colleagues from other universities and the HUN REN research network. Cooperation between the University and external institutions is governed by cooperation agreements. The training plan is constantly expanding with new subjects and topics in line with needs and opportunities. Supervisors are expected to hold an academic degree, engage in regular, high-level scientific activity, and publish their results. The selection of thesis writers and supervisors is based on the same criteria, as thesis writers can become supervisors if they are doctoral students whose field of study matches the topic. The doctoral school is expanding the range of agreements it has with domestic research institutes and strives to fill the framework provided by cooperation agreements with real content.
